Interior & Exterior Design Comparison

2021 Jeep Wrangler Interior

Inside the Wrangler, you will find a premium interior with high-quality materials that make the cabin feel welcoming. With its simplistic designs, the interior is functional yet stylish, perfect for long road trips. There are various touchscreen and in-cluster display options for the Wrangler, varying in size and interface software. On the Wrangler's exterior, you will find a rugged body that's square-shaped, and supporting its off-road looks are skid plates on the fuel tank, transmission, and transfer case. As standard, this model rides on 17-inch aluminum wheels, and higher trims get larger rims and all-terrain tires.

2021 Ford Bronco Interior

The Bronco's interior is similar to the Wrangler's designs, but it lacks high-quality materials, and it offers a less durable upholstery. Standard interior features for the Bronco include an 8-inch LCD touchscreen, remote keyless entry, push-button start, carpeted floors, manual day/night rearview mirror, and USB ports. On the exterior, you will quickly notice that the Bronco also has a generally square shape similar to the Wrangler's, but the edges are rounded, making it look like a typical modern SUV. For off-roading, the Bronco has removable panels, letting you get closer to the action. Lastly, with the base model, you will have steel wheels and black bumpers.

Technology & Safety Comparison

Forward-Facing TrailCam Off-Road Camera

For technology and safety, the Wrangler offers advanced multi-stage airbags, ParkView rear back-up camera, electronic stability control, hill start assist, traction control, electronic roll mitigation, trailer sway control, and antilock disc brakes with advanced brake assist. You can opt for blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, and a Park-Sense rear park assist system for additional safety. As optional, an Advanced Safety Group package includes advanced brake assist, automatic headlamp control, and forward-collision warning with active braking.

360 Camera with Off-Road Views

On the other hand, the Bronco offers standard safety features, including a personal safety system, dual-stage airbags, belt-minder, tire pressure monitor system, rearview camera, LED headlamps, and trailer sway control. It makes available optional features with higher trims as add-ons such as a 360-degree camera and keyless entry pad. When it comes to technology and safety, the Bronco can't compete with the Wrangler.

Capability Features Comparison

2021 Jeep Wrangler Traction & Handling

As the off-road SUV that many love, the Wrangler is the ideal choice for a reliable off-roading experience, as it offers 16 unique models catering to all requirements and needs. As standard, it comes with a four-wheel-drive, Command Trac part-time transfer case, Dana M186 front and Dana M220 rear axles, and skid plates. Going up to higher trims brings all-terrain tires, different four-wheel-drive systems, heavy-duty cooling, and much more. Also, with the Wrangler, you will have various powertrain options that include multiple gasoline options and a diesel.

2021 Ford Bronco with Canoe & Kayak Carrier

Similarly, the Bronco also comes standard with a four-wheel drive, but as a typical SUV, it controls the transfer case using a rotary dial instead of a traditional lever. Although its equipment is adequate for off-roading, this model is relatively new, and it hasn't proved itself on the terrains as reliable just yet. Also, its powertrain options are limited and lack a diesel option, making the Wrangler the obvious choice for those that enjoy off-roading.
